Learning about how things are done to harvest bananas in Guatemala 6 days a week for $200 dollars a month on the best paying jobs.

Peak Alarm is the only local alarm company in Utah that has their own Guard and Patrol division, Alarms and a UL listed Central Station for monitoring

As of this week Peak Alarm has only had one complaint made against it with the Better Business Bureau in the last 3 years

Monitoring pricing is like phone plans, it depends on how much you pay up front and the monthly will depend on the options you decide on.

Plans as low as $26 per month with monitoring over a phone line

Plans as low as $35 per month with a cellular unit so you don’t need phone lines

Plans as low as $40 per month with a cellular unit and the ability to arm and disarm remotely

Plans that are around $46 per month will allow Peak to subsidize a bit more of the equipment up front

Plans as low as $149 installed and $44 per month with Panel, Cell communicator, 1 motion and 3 door contacts

Same equipment as the above plan but $99 dollars installed and $46 per month (includes repair agreement with extended warranty)

Peak Alarm DOES NOT DO CREDIT CHECKS

Many companies start out with their interactive plans at $49 per month and that does not include the extended warranty plan in most cases.

There are many factors that come into play so let Larry come to your home or business and go over what your needs are. If the facility or home is larger than 3500 square feet you may need repeaters. If you have an existing system we can install a new BRAIN and monitor your existing hard wired points. Call Larry 801 428 1384

Worry less live more

1. Water leak in your home destroys carpet in basement and sheetrock – Prevention or mitigation step = Add water sensors to your security system

2. Home drops below 40 degrees at grandmas house when she is asleep – Add a low/high sensor to alert you when it is too hot or too cold.

3. Kids keep changing the thermostat and your bill is too high. – Add thermostat control to your security system you control on your phone.

4. You worry about your dogs or kids when you are not home. – Add cameras in family areas or outside to check in on things with your phone.

5. You kids loose house keys or you need to let others in but you don’t want to give out more keys.

Answer to #5 – Install electronic locks that you control with your phone from anywhere. You kids can get in using a code and the codes can be updated and changed very easily.

6. Who is coming to your door when you are not home? Tell your kids not to answer the door. – WIth SKYBELL you answer your door with your phone

7. Did I close the garage door or not? – Add a garage door sensor and an automatic closer you can control with your phone

8. Similar to 2 your home freezes when you are not there and the pipes freeze which will turn into a flood when they break and thaw

Answer to #8 Add a temperature sensor so you will be alerted to get someone over to get the heater back on before anything freezes

9. What if there is a fire when we are on vacation or what if there is a fire and we are overcome by CO or smoke and don’t wake up? This is a legitimate worry because many people don’t wake up if the smoke or CO is overwhelming. When dispatched the Fire Department will get in and save your family within minutes. The small monthly monitoring cost is worth every penny.

Answer to #9 -Install smoke detectors and CO sensors that are tied to the monitored security system so help will be dispatched

10. What if you need to let the UPS guy into the garage? Talk to him with SKYBELL, disarm your system, open the garage door, he put the package in and you view him, shut the garage door and rearm the system all the time while you are on vacation using your cell phone.

11. Burglars see your lights turn on and off at certain times. —–
Have your lights turn on and off at random times with the Z-wave options on your security system

Have a z-wave plug in module turn radio on and off at certain times or any other electronic device. Call Larry Love for pricing and options.

WORRY LESS AND LIVE MORE. With any of the above options you won’t have to worry about those things. I have AAA so I don’t worry about running out of gas, locking my keys in the car or having a dead battery because it is covered and someone will come and help. With any of the above options installed on your security system you will have less to worry about and more time to live your life. Stephen King wrote in one of his books “Perfect Paranoia is perfect awareness.” With proper prevention steps you won’t worry about something that you should not be worrying about.

We also have WATER COP which can SHUT THE WATER PIPES OFF. (This will also require that we work in conjunction with a plumber)

Call Larry Love 801 428 1384 Larry@peakalarm.com http://www.peakalarm.com for more information about how to add to or upgrade your security system so you can worry less and live more.

Recent Peak Alarm ongoing training

Brands of Fire Alarm

Depending on the brand of fire alarm you have installed in your facility the cost of parts and service will vary. When you choose a proprietary many times you may end up paying higher costs.

Peak Alarm offers ongoing training programs to their 300 plus employees at four offices in Idaho and in Utah. This week the sales teams were trained on what flexibility is available to us regarding contracts, the different options and customization that our Central Station can offer to the customers and we were trained on our new initiative WHITE GLOVE TREATMENT OF CUSTOMERS AND EACH OTHER.

Call Larry Love (801) 428 1384 Larry@peakalarm.com for more information. ESPANOL Y ENGLISH http://www.peakalarm.com

Peak Alarm continues to train all their departments and the new WHITE GLOVE initiative is to help step up our customer service and also treat each other with more respect. Peak also puts all their employees through FBI background checks and even local police department checks.

Some of the other important points of the training were as follows:

All 22 of those in the training answered various questions and had to get answers from others in the group to complete the surveys.

1. What do you dislike most in a sales rep? Being Pushy, High Pressure, Late and Dishonest were the top four answers.

2. When a salesperson is talking to you, what interactions make you feel uncomfortable? Lack of knowledge, talking too much without listening

3. How do you as the customer define value? Bang for your buck. Not everyone will buy the most expensive product and most won’t buy the least expensive product but customers want quality and a fair price. Many are willing to go with a solid company like Peak Alarm even if the prices are a bit higher because Peak offers a whole package of same day or next day service, UL Listed Central Station, Guard and Patrol Service and top notch sales teams that are knowledgeable.

We discussed some of the tried and true principles of sales such as A.Preliminaries (Hello etc…) B. Investigating stage – What do they want, what do they need and what is their budget? C. Demonstrating – What is the capability of the products that Peak Alarm offers and D. Obtaining Commitment in the form of a signed proposal or agreement.

We learned about the research done between larger dollar sales and smaller items and how high pressure sales techniques actually hurt your possibility of getting a commitment when dealing in larger dollar amounts. The smaller purchases that can be related to impulse buying don’t cause as much buyer remorse. Getting a bad deal on a larger product such as a car can affect more people than the customer. Often other security companies hire very young people and teach them these high pressure sales techniques so they can go out and get quick sales. These are the same companies that are being sued in several states and that have thousands of complaints filed with the Better Business Bureau.

Peak Alarm is proud that we have only had one complaint filed with the Better Business Bureau in the last 3 years as of 9/22/16 and zero complaints in the last two years.

We had a session on contracts and learned quite a bit about the ins and outs of these agreements and why we need them to protect the company and the customer.

We made long lists of items that we can improve on and among the list of items we determined that some of the most important things we all should be working on are: Being Honest at all times, Showing up early to each appointment and if we cannot then making sure we call ahead of time to let our customer know what happened and when we will arrive. Another skill that we all need to work on is COMMUNICATION. One of the most important parts of this skill is LISTENING so we learned some techniques associated with listening, body language and personalities. Product knowledge is important although we have a large team of people that can help with that and learning what our customers need and getting them pricing in a professional timely manner will make all the difference in the world. We also went over the importance of sending out hand written thank you cards.

We had a training during our two day training sessions where the sales team actually programmed a DMP security system so we could learn what the techs go through and have a better understanding of how the technical side works. Hands on training We also had a class about customer service and the options our Central Station can offer the customer. Well that is short recap of this training and then we ended with several of our team members getting awards for their efforts.

Thank you to Peak Alarm management for feeling that ongoing training is important enough to spend this much time and effort on. Call Larry Love to get more information about Peak Alarm, Pricing or to set up a tour of Peak Alarm in Salt Lake City. (801) 428 1384 Larry@peakalarm.com

Understand that when we do MTM / Month to month we cannot subsidize the equipment or the labor so we will need the upfront costs taken care of at signup. On our basic Peaklink it would be about $900 upfront and then we can do a MTM Month to Month agreement at a good monitoring rate>

Monitoring rates vary depending on the services you request. We can be as low as $25 per month for phoneline monitoring, as low as $35 per month on cell monitoring and normally around $40 per month on AES Radio monitoring, Fire Alarm cellular monitoring is right around $48 per month because of the high supervision signals that need to be sent every 6 minutes on the cellular unit. Call Larry for individual rates. If you have multiple properties or businesses we can work a deal. If you need a repair agreement added we can help with that or if you need Guard Response on alarms because Salt Lake won’t respond then it will be $10 per month extra and includes 4 responses per year on alarms.

How much is security monitoring and installation with a professional company?

Package B – If we tie your panel to an analog phone line the price will be $75 installation and $35 per month

NOTES:

If your home is over 3500 square feet we should do a site visit to determine if a repeater would be needed or if it would be best to upgrade to a different product.

We have entry level products that are great product but have less features than the more advanced packages.

Example: The panel that we would use if you want to tie the system to just your phone line is a normal keypad but the PeakLink packages have touch screens and more features. Package A and B only have one hardwired zone on board and on the PeakLink we have additional options. If we do a much larger project we would recommend DMP and Larry can help you each step of the way with your individual project whether it is a business or a residence.

If you liven in Salt Lake where the Police do not respond we have a special deal where we only charge $10 per month with your monitoring and it includes up to 4 free alarm responses where we will send a Guard to your home. If you pay $20 for Key service we can send a guard and they will enter your home to actually check inside. If the heater has gone off we can notify you so you can get it taken care of before the pipes freeze. That is why we recommend temperature sensors, smoke detectors and CO sensors to protect your property and the occupants.

I have children that have IPHONES and they all paid different amounts for their phones because one wanted a lower monthly so they paid more for the phone upfront and I have one of the kids that did not want to pay much for the phone so they pay more monthly and they got the phone for much less than my other son.

It is the same with the security systems. Technology is advancing very fast and the products we offer are excellent and Peak Alarm is a great company.
